~Quick write ~

I have never really had to do something that I didn't want to do that was actually serious. I guess that the worst thing that I ever had to do that I didn't want to do was like after that gigantic storm, my dad made me help clean up all the leaves and branches that had fallen down in our yard. Before he made me do it I was sure that I could just get out of it and I wouldn't half to help and I could just go and hang out with all my friends. He made me help anyways. When he told me that I had to help or I could not go anywhere for the rest of the week then I was really mad and I started to help so that I could leave later that day to go with my friends to the mall. I was really mad and had a horrible attitude the whole time I was helping. In the end it wasn't that bad because he gave me some money for helping and I got to get new clothes. After I got home I was really happy, that I had gotten to go the mall and hang out with my friends and get new clothes.

Finding Forester.

I think that the relationship between Forrester and Jamal was a friendship of need. I think that Jamal was sent to Forrester because he needed to help Forrester realize that just because he wrote one book and did not like the fact that the publishers pulled it apart and changed what he wrote does not mean that he cannot write another book and have it published. I think that Jamal was also helpful to Forrester because he made him realize that you cannot spend your whole life locked in a tiny apartment and have all your food delivered to you, you half to get out there and experience all life has to offer. I think that Forrester helped Jamal in many ways too. He made Jamal think about his actions and know that just because he lives in a poor neighborhood does not mean that he cant go to a good school and get a better education then his present school has to offer. I think that Forrester also has a lot to do with the fact that Jamal because such a good student and an extinguished writer.
-It is unusual because they needed each other and they taught each other an extraordinary amount about life and what to do in a situation that you don't always agree with.
-We can lean that just because you think that you don't need some one doesn't mean that you really don't. Also that it doesn't matter what race you are you can still be smart and be and over achiever, and that you can accomplish any goal you set for yourself.

I think that the purpose of the story is to teach people that some places are just really important to people and the memories of childhood. I think that the author of this story wanted to tell people that it is ok to have a place in your heart and never forget it. The author of this story did a good job of making it clear that this forest was a major part of the characters childhood and that losing this forest will have a great impact on his life. In my opinion this was a good story and it really got the message out that this boy would miss this forest for the rest of his life. I also thought that the author could have just told us like why all the little boys friends moved away.
